French-born Mrs. Cecile Bruty dies after stroke in Richmond area
Cecile Bruty born February 21 1840 at Roppe France died yesterday at the home of her daughter Mrs T J Dempsey 321 West Jefferson street following a stroke. She married Alexander Bruty October 13 1858 and lived near Richmond before moving to Washington in 1872. Survivors include children Amelia McBride Catherine Lowry and Frank Bruty with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Monday at St James Catholic Church with burial in Woolawn Cemetery.
