Washington February 3 The house completed three days of debate and passed the District of Columbia appropriation bill yesterday then began consideration of the fortifications and coast defense bill Democrats led by McClellan of New York criticized the cut in appropriations saying the funds are below recent levels.
The executive committee of the National Sound Money League met in Washington with several state vice presidents to discuss the gold standard. The gathering produced no formal announcements and had no special significance.
