Quietly Married Miss Ella Cunningham and K A Burnell

Miss Ella Cunningham and K A Burnell were secretly wed at her parents home on Saturday evening. Rev J B Logue conducted the ceremony before family members and they leave for Fall River Massachusetts to start their new life. Burnell has been ill recently and the marriage was kept quiet until shortly before departure. The note ends with a call for township health boards and proper notification when contagious diseases arise.

Funeral services for Jacob Blick held at Moravian Church

Funeral services for the late Jacob Blick were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Moravian Church led by Rev. Romig. Interment followed at Grace Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers included H. A. Enoge, Wilbur Harvey, J. O. Rehmel, T. Rehme, Charles Buxbaum, and Harry Dunbar. Honorary pallbearers were George Neisley, B. Engel, Joseph Engel, John Puxbaum, Harvey, and Jesse Taylor.

Carpenter labor dispute held in Marion township

A local trial in Marion township before Squire Hamilton concerned J E Simpson versus J L Coppock over balance due for carpenter labor. Attorneys Butterfield and Ed Deeds argued for plaintiff and defendant respectively. The case extended into the night and the squire reserved decision. The Acheson home on North Second Avenue was quarantined for diphtheria amid a mild outbreak.
