Dean LeBaron called for more classroom space and higher salaries to retain faculty. Officers elected were Don Rinner president Mrs James Birney vice president and Ray Glover secretary treasurer. Square dancing by Artemas Brown closed the event.

Albia Fire Destroys Half Block. $100000 Damages

Truman to Submit 79 Billion Budget Next Week
President Truman plans to send a fiscal 1954 budget of about 79 billion dollars to the new Republican Congress next week.
