City council approves 6 percent wage rise for workers

Washington city council met to set pay rates for the coming year approving an average increase of about six percent with some individual adjustments. Grand jurors for Washington County were drawn for 1971, listing 12 residents from Keota to Washington and Brighton. In Atlantic City, Mr Raymond's Bar reported slow business with theft totaling $195 from cash register, liquor shelves, and a missing TV.

Des Moines Board of Trade eyed as contract market
