Chicago December 28 John C Gebhart director of research for the American Association Against the Prohibition Amendment told the American Political Science Association tonight that enforcement cannot keep pace with the growing liquor trade. He cited Dr James Doran saying 3000000 and a U S court system would be needed to enforce the Wilstead act and called such plans subterfuge to make states pay for national prohibition. He warned against political leverage used to push enforcement and cited the Michigan life-for-a-pint hospital crime act as an example of fanatic enforcement harming constitutional government.
