In Cambridge Iowa 16 year old Harlan Slippy is jailed in Story County awaiting charges after stabbing his father William 46 six times in the back and twice in the chest during a family fight at their home The father is in critical condition at Story County Hospital Sheriff J J Shelley says the incident followed alleged intoxicated abuse by the father and a scuffle with the mother Also in the home were Harlan’s 17 year old brother and two sisters age 18 and 11.

Milwaukee police recovered a treasure trove from the littered home of Eleanor E. Stoner a 64 year old recluse found dead Friday. The trash yielded 7500 in cash and banking deposits along with unused TVs and new appliances. Her brother Ambrose 66 communicated in sign language and said she collapsed on the bathroom floor Wednesday.

Robert Davis Hurt In Accident Near Wellman
Former Keota man Robert Warren Davis of Anamosa was injured when his automobile went out of control and crashed into a ditch along highway 22 two miles east of Wellman. He was taken by ambulance to the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City with severe cuts. Davis was en route to Keota to spend the holiday weekend with relatives and works as a guard at the state boys reformatory in Anamosa.
