A two car collision near Menlo, Iowa killed 16 month old Stephen Harwood, son of Mr and Mrs Earl Harwood. His mother and Mary Ann Johnson, 16, a Menlo High School basketball guard, were seriously injured. Johnson and Mrs Harwood were hospitalized in Greenfield.
