Henderson arraigned in wife's murder near Zookspur
Bob Henderson 61 a Negro coal miner was arraigned on a murder charge in connection with the Dec 6 shooting of his wife Sylvia near Zookspur. Mrs Henderson died in Perry hospital after bullet fragments damaged her chest and spine. Sheriff E A Burger said the shooting followed a quarrel and Henderson has been held in jail since.

Bring Fesler Back For Grand Larceny
Deputy Walt Kiesey went to Aurora Illinois to return John Fesler 20 of Johnson County to face a grand larceny charge. A warrant by Justice W S Eldridge named Fesler who allegedly took 62 dollars from Forrest Taylor’s Iowa Township home two weeks earlier. Aurora police detained him after a tip from Iowa City that he admitted the theft and would waive extradition.

Geo Genkinger Taken by Death Services Sunday
George R. Genkinger 65 died at his home seven miles northwest of Washington after a several days illness. Funeral services are set for two o'clock Sunday at Sherman’s funeral home with Rev. Alfred Trenerry of the Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery. He was born November 28 1876 and married Estella Burns September 18 1900. Surviving are his wife, eight children, a sister and nine grandchildren. he was a member of the AOUW lodge.
