Iowa DOT unveils five year highway plan with 618 million

Iowa Department of Transportation released its first five year comprehensive construction report totaling 618 million dollars. It covers state highway, air rail public transit and river transportation with 576 million in highway commitments and 30 million for air and related work. Wellman Washington County unite in county wide law enforcement plan

Wellman Marshal Jack Dillon will become a Washington County deputy sheriff on January 1 under a six month pilot contract. The city pays 7100 for six months while the county covers Dillon salary and expenses. He will patrol Wellman West Chester Lime Creek Seventy Six and the west Cedar Townships.
