New York dispatch reports Christmas season programs across networks NBC CBS and Columbia tonight and tomorrow feature carols choruses and symphony performances from 10 p.m. to midnight eastern time and a noon Christmas Day broadcast of Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. The NBC plan includes an Old Trinity chimes program and a Greater New York Federat ion of Churches event at the Roxy theatre. The Columbia chain airs a Noel Antique program and a radio dramatization of A Christmas Carol with Scrooge Tiny Tim and company.
Christmas brings sorrow as 54 year old Ross T Crawford dies after five days illness and his nine year old daughter Mary Beatrice Crawford succumbs to pneumonia after ten days. Funeral services scheduled for Wednesday at United Presbyterian Church with Rev Willard and Rev Fulton assisting. Burial at Elm Grove Cemetery. Mary Beatrice born February 2 1920 attended Heights School. Other family survivors listed.
