George Marguiles a Davenport car dealer and Gilbert F Ardery a Charles City petroleum dealer pleaded innocent in federal court to income tax evasion charges. Both posted 3000 bond. Marguiles allegedly evaded 45232 in taxes for 1947 to 1966 and Ardery 66295 for 1947 to 1950. Ardery moved to Charles City in 1935 as a Sinclair salesman before becoming a bulk station manager.
