Retired officer arrested in France in heroin seizure case
In Columbus Georgia a retired American officer was arrested in Orleans France on request of the U S Bureau of Narcotics in Rome in connection with the seizure of 209 pounds of heroin valued at about 18 5 million raw and up to 100 million after dilution It is the eighth arrest in a sprawling international probe linked to New York Miami Beach and Paris connections and a Miami Beach nightclub owner was named among those involved
