Santa impostor takes widow’s life savings in Fort Worth
In Fort Worth Texas an elderly 87 year old widow, Lola B Young, received gifts from a bearded man in a Santa suit who claimed to represent a church. He stole $500 from her purse while asking to use her bathroom and left with the money, a basket of fruit and two small gifts. A woman and two children were reported in a car outside as he drove away.

Man dies rescuing woman in Kansas City stabbing case
Dennis Michael Van Dyke, a 34-year-old construction worker, died after he fought a man who stabbed him while attempting to rescue a woman during a beating. Police held two suspects for possible murder charges. the woman may face charges. Van Dyke’s wife Kristine described him as kind and protective. Keota man gets suspended term in burglary case
A 19 year old Keota man Anthony G. Jackson received a 10 year suspended prison sentence and two year probation in Washington County District Court for burglary without aggravation in the Oct. 28 theft from an Ainsworth business. He was ordered into a Residential Treatment Facility in Burlington to gain maximum benefit. Other defendants on an unusually busy day faced jail or probation terms for drug possession, drunken driving and related offenses.
