Senatorial Bid to Expand Testimony Before Adjournment
Chairman B Everett Jordan may seek more closed door testimony as Congress nears adjournment. President Johnson signed an order making income tax files available to Senate investigators, a routine move in such inquiries. Indications point to Baker and vending machine enterprises drawing hearings early in the new year amid linked financial interests and a suit alleging a $300,000 yearly contract with Melpar Inc.
