Funeral services for Mrs Melinda Sands 74 of 320 Wer Main street were held today at 2p.m. at Sherman’s funeral home. She died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday December 15 after a brief illness. Cremation will follow and her ashes sent to Long Death California to be buried beside her husband. She was born October 17 19 17 in Ainsworth daughter of Wo AL and Mary Catherine Stre nets Walker. She lived in Ainsworth most of her life and later moved to California before returning to Washington after her husband’s death. She was a Methodist and member of several clubs. Survivors include son Van Tlorn of St. Louis three sisters and a stepson Rex Sands of Long Beach. One grandson J Van Horn of Chicago.
