Robber Chased Through Snow Captured After Richland Heist Spree
A man giving the name George Hendrickson from Flint Michigan was captured five miles southwest of Richland after a two and a half hour snow chase. He robbed Clair Hoekstra’s store and two other Richland businesses before surrendering at midnight. Authorities say the suspect is not the local Hendrickson and he is jailed in Keokuk county facing burglary charges.

New York AP Distinguished Service Awards of the American Farm Bureau Federation were given to Mrs Raymond Sayre of Ackworth Iowa and posthumously to Romeo E Short of Brinkley Arkansas during the 56th annual convention.
