Peter D. Yoder 76 died early this morning at his Kalona area farm home after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Kalona Christian Church with Rev. Hugh Guy in charge. Burial will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with Peterseim Funeral Home. He was born April 11, 1875, son of David and Catherine Yoder, lived in Kalona his whole life, and was married to Fannie Hofer who survives. Survivors include son Ivan L. of Kalona, daughters Mrs. Samuel Hershbarger of Iowa City and Mrs. John Mammen of Phoenix, five grandchildren, and sister Mrs. Emmett Yoder of West Liberty, Iowa. He was preceded in death by parents, one brother, one sister, and one daughter.
