Candled egg price set at 27 cents per dozen by WFA
Des Moines reports a 27 cent per dozen minimum producer price for candled eggs in 1945, set by War Food Administration official Mervin Jones. In areas lacking marketing facilities, a 24 cent price applies with WEA to buy at 24 cents per dozen. Purchases hinge on dealers paying at least the support price to producers, and new packing materials will be used to prevent storage and transport issues.
