Truck Crash Blocks Interstate 80 at Mitchellville

Missouri Tornadoes Ravage Three Towns
United Press International reports multiple tornadoes struck Missouri amid unseasonably warm weather. Rolla and areas south of Potosi suffered the heaviest damage with buildings destroyed and power outages. Six people were injured, all with non life threatening injuries, as twisters cut paths through Howell and Washington counties damaging homes, timber and a radio tower.

Strangler claims sixth Cincinnati victim at Brittany Apartments
A mid dle-aged woman was found strangled in her apartment early today, allegedly the sixth murder by the Cincinnati strangler. Homicide detectives rushed to the Brittany Apartments after a report of a follow by a man in a cream and brown car. A neighbor recalled the suspect’s approach to Sandra Chapps, 22, near her building, and police traced a license number.
