Lt. Gov. Roger Jepsen outlines a sweeping tax reform as he seeks to unseat Gov. Robert D. Ray. Car Crash Leaves Driver Facing Pending Charges

Indian forces advance after capturing Comilla in East Pakistan

Three gunmen kill soldier in Curragh Belfast home
In Curragh Belfast three masked gunmen burst into a part time soldier’s bedroom and shot him dead. A British soldier was seriously wounded in the Roman Catholic Calls area. Police found a man with chest wounds in the Markets area and treated it as murder. Pvt Dennis Wilson 31 died at the scene. Anthony Nolan 20 of Belfast was found dead with chest wounds. IRA involvement not determined.
