Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gawthrop hosted the Keota football team with an elaborate turkey dinner at the Gawthrop Cafe. Twelve fans donated two fine turkeys as coaches Landess and Moser led talks on athletics and reports from letter boys. Local contributors and townsfolk filled the meal with remarks and a fund for the turkey, as influenza illness and winter travel affected the area.
