Good Fellows Ask Contributions Tell Details of Corn Hog Contracts
Secretary Henry A Wallace announced the corn hog contract authorizing 350 million dollars for reducing 1934 corn acreage and hog production with 75 million to Iowa farmers. The plan provides 36 cents per bushel rental and 15 cent first and second installments, plus a 5 dollar per head hog adjustment for 75 percent of hogs.

Trees Appear Around Square In Washington Stores
Overnight small Christmas trees appeared before most Washington stores as part of the city’s festive decorations for the season. About 100 trees will be lit or left unadorned, arranged through Quecetjen Bros who organized the bulk order for distribution.
