Three from the county will be drafted for a year of training, with a total of about 200 statewide. Judge Frank Beehly revoked the parole of Forrest Prinning of Dutch Creek township and suspended his four month jail sentence. Brinning had a 1935 sentence for DUI later revoked for good behavior and previously paid a $100 fine for prior assault and battery charges by his wife. A hearing on driving with suspended license was pending.
A pickup truck driven by Her vey Finney of Washington and a car driven by Charles Dunbar of Brighton were damaged this morning in a collision at a Brighton intersection where street conditions contributed to the crash. The report notes the truck struck an Apparently damaged vehicle as the scene unfolded.
Charles E. Stuteman died in Washington county hospital after a brain concussion from a fall at Maplecrest plant. Funeral at Sharon Evangelical church Friday at 2 pm, burial in Sharon family lot. Survived by four children and former wife Clarasse Wagoner.

The Washington Lumber and Fuel Company under manager Jim White expanded its plant with a new 48 by 85 foot addition to the north of the main shed. The project includes a central driveway and improved front, finishing months of improvements since new ownership.
