Two Airmen Killed In Head-On Crash Near Sioux City
Two airmen died and three were injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 75 one mile south of Sioux City. Victims were S. Sgt. George Stevens 23 and A2C David Olsen 21, both from the Sioux City Air Force Base. Others injured were A2C Donald Marcotte Jr. 20 in serious condition, A2C Dickie Severson 17 in fair condition, and A3C Paul Madore 24 in good condition. Severson drove the northbound car. Stevens drove the southbound car. Cause under investigation.
