Funeral for Dolores Edwards Thursday at Coppock Christian Church
Funeral services for Dolores Jean Edwards, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edwards, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church in Coppock. Burial follows at Shrock Cemetery, three miles north. Dolores, nine weeks old, died Tuesday of double pneumonia. Her mother formerly Miss Reasley McKune. The family will reside at 03 East Second Street.

Fire damages Clinton business building housing multiple firms
A fast moving blaze in Clinton caused about 75000 in damage to a building jointly owned by Congressman elect B Jacobsen and Mrs N Nissen. The fire started in a book bindery area used for rubbish burning and damaged five firms and seven flats above. Firemen fought four hours while two neighboring structures were briefly threatened. Damage to the building itself was estimated at 40000 with losses in fixtures and furnishings largely insured. Contents of Kean Petroleum were saved before the blaze reached that section. Other damaged tenants included Seiberling Tire Gesland barber shop Burlingame cafe Hartz Cycle and Paddock Broom company in adjoining buildings.

Two Bank Robbery Suspects Held in Jasper County
Two 21 year old men from Galesburg Illinois Loren Painter and Kenneth Therman were arrested in Salesbury after alleged confession to the November 26 robbery of the Mingo Town Trust and Savings Bank. Authorities traced auto licenses and the bandits reportedly changed plates after the crime. A third member remains at large. The men waived extradition to Iowa.
