Chicago December 2 prices at the Union Stock Yards slid to 3.50 per hundred, the lowest since February. Packers have largely left the market in recent days, preferring direct pork supplies. Early top today on a clean-up market was about 45 cents lower than last week. Year ago today top was 3.45.
Lovers of music gather at the county agent home for rehearsal for the county chorus. The group will perform at the annual county convention in Washington on December 16. Two more rehearsals follow, inviting all townships and farm communities to participate. Come if you can attend.
