Keota Banker Dudley Crone Dies in Iowa City
Dudley D. Crone 47 prominent Keota banker died at University hospital Iowa City after intestinal hemorrhage following a week of illness. Funeral set for Friday at 2:20 pm at Keota Methodist Church with burial in Keota cemetery. Crone born Wyoming Illinois 1881 later moved to Washington then Keota. Survived by wife Bessie Smock and daughter Charlotte, plus siblings and extended family. He served as Keota school board member and held roles in the Farmers Savings Bank and local civic groups.
