Second body recovered from Navy patrol plane shot down
The Navy reports a second body has been recovered from the navy patrol plane downed last week off the China coast. Found by a U S destroyer near where wreckage and the first body were located, about nine miles southeast of Shanghai near Hiangchow Bay. The Mercator carried 16 crew. no survivors expected, but surveillance will continue.

Red Oak Woman Killed in Two Car Collision
A Red Oak area woman identified as Mrs Claude Rector, 40, died in a two car crash four miles east of Red Oak along S road. The other driver, with Colorado plates, was unnamed and hospitalized in critical condition. Authorities have not learned the other driver’s identity.
