Kalona Youths Hurt In Auto Accident
Two Kalona youths, Harlan Hochstetler and John Henry Hostetler, were injured when the car left a county road south of Kalona and overturned in a ditch. Deputy Sheriff Robert W. Fillmore said the driver swerved to avoid a gas truck, then lost control as another car approached, resulting in about $300 in damage.

John Lowe 92 longtime Louisa County farmer died at his home in Columbus Junction. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 PM at his home with Rev J B Pootey officiating. Richie funeral home handles arrangements. Burial in Fredonia cemetery. Born near Grand View May 1 1848 he was the son of John and Margaret Barker Lowe. Survived by son Nelson and daughter Vinnie both at home.

Recreational Council Plans Budget with YMCA Meeting
