Study plans for new municipal building rejected
Washington city council returned preliminary plans for a new fire station and municipal building to the drawing board after review. Council members asked for minor changes and directed Public Works Director Jim Reschly to revise quickly for bids later in the year. The project would be east of city hall with space for fire police vehicles offices and a council meeting room. Fire chief Lewis McFadden sought more space for firefighting activities. Funding includes Boyd Dill estate revenue sharing and other city funds. Also discussed were street speed limits and storm sewer cost estimates being prepared by Howard R. Green Engineering Co.
