Four killed in truck crash and fire in Wilmington
A truck loaded with nitro cellulose plowed into a small picnic truck in Wilmington. Four people died and 21 were injured as three explosions and a fire trapped victims in the wreckage. State police said the driver, Henry J. Knott, escaped. he said the picnic truck had no rear lights and he did not see it until seconds before impact.
