Soldier boys lay shells on rail injuring sergeant aboard train
This morning in Muscatine the Firefly carried Company , when cartridges set on the track exploded. A shell struck Sergeant Lt. Rox, tearing the upper portion from his body. Surgeon Robertson sewed it back on. Officials warn such dangerous mischief could kill or maim.
