Excursion crowds fill B and N W trip to park day
A crowded B N W excursion train to the park drew large crowds from Washington Oskaloosa Brighton New Sharon and surrounding areas. Speakers including Judge Dewey Col Palmer Sam Clark and Capt Kellogg drew lively reaction while dining and rides kept attendees entertained. Water shortages on return sparked passenger complaints but overall the day was deemed profitable and pleasant.
