Michael Blair a 15 year old pulled his 11 year old friend Bruce Scott from a strong current above the Cedar River junction after Bruce fell into the Iowa River while fishing on an island. Michael kept him afloat and applied brief artificial respiration until Bruce regained consciousness. A helping boat arrived and the boys were returned to shore.

Warmer temperatures in the northeast tonight and on Tuesday. Lows tonight from the northeast in the lower 50s to the mid 60s in the southwest. Five day forecast shows near normal temperatures to the north and 3 to 6 degrees above normal to the south with highs in the 80s to near 90 and lows in the 60s.
