South Eastern Iowa League forms amateur base ball circuit

In Fairfield on Saturday the Leg gett House hosted a new amateur league with Washington, Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant, and Brighton. Delegates settled the schedule for two weekly games from Aug 18 through September, with home talent, no salaries, and profits going to home teams. Umpire issues unsettled as teams prepare for opening games and promotion.
