The Washington County Farm Bureau began its two day celebration with livestock show exhibits at Hayes Dairy Barns and city hall demonstrations staged by 4H girls and boys. A large crowd attended, with more entries than ever and top awards for calves and pies. The Jacksonite team won first place in the girls demonstrations and Royal H. Holbrook of Ames announced honors and presented the champion county health girl.
