Riverside August 5 Rick Arthur a Highland senior was admitted to Washington County hospital after a motorcycle accident at Ainsworth. He sustained a broken leg and is in a cast. Public Notice City Council meets in regular session in 1973
City Council of Washington Iowa met August 6 1973 with Mayor Ralph E Martin presiding. Budget bills were approved for multiple funds including General Fund Street Fund Cemetery Fund Recreation Fund Utilities Fund and others. The council discussed financing a manufacturing plant by McQuay Perfex Inc approved a street project Robison Addition a Landfill Caterpillar reconditioning major storm sewer bids and a 12.5 HP concrete planer purchase plus renewal of Embree’s South End Grocery beer permit. Session adjourned to August 20 1973.
