Louisa County Fair Opens With Events and Pageants
Louisa County Fair at Columbus Junction runs August 7 to 10 with a tractor pulling contest on opening evening. Judging in all departments starts Thursday, stock sale Saturday at 9 am, and nightly dancing at Flor al Hall. Miss Columbus Junction and Miss Columbus City winners chosen Friday, then advance to Miss Columbus U.S.A. in Columbus, Ohio, in October. Stock car races Saturday night with time trials at 6:30 pm and races at 7:30 pm. Fair officials listed include Charles Jenkins president and H. M. Duncan secretary.
