Six Killed In Crash Of Private Plane
An inquest was called into the crash of a single engine Ballanca that killed six Californians vacationing in southern Illinois. Pilot Jack Dinerstein, 30, and William Pilkington, 30, his wife Rosella 31, and their children Kari 5 Glenn 3 Dale 20 months died when the plane broke up in a windstorm. Witnesses described the craft tearing apart midair as it failed to land in a field amid rain and lightning. Authorities noted no fire or explosion.

Storm damages hit Audubon and Avoca in Iowa
Severe wind and rain storms tore through Audubon and Avoca causing extensive damage. Hunters May Get Deer Hunting Applications
Washington County hunters may obtain deer hunting license applications at the recorder's office in the courthouse. A three day shotgun season runs December 17 to 19 with only the first 7,000 applications honored. bow and arrow season is October 15 through November 27 with unlimited licenses.
