Mrs Arzella Stansberry Seibert of Ottumwa pleaded guilty at arraignment before Police Judge Gene Swenson in a bigamy case. She remains held to the Wapello county grand jury with bond set at 500 dollars. The complaint was filed by her husband Elmer Seibert of Moulton Iowa after Seibert learned of her marriage to Glen Marshall in a tavern on Tuesday night.

Grinnell College Tax Exemption Denied by Des Moines Judge

Iowa City Attacks Lead to Assault Charge Against Lekin

Jail Breaking Boys Captured After Fairfield Escape
Three Iowa youths escaped from the juvenile ward of the county detention home Tuesday night and were captured by a highway patrolman at Fairfield Wednesday afternoon. James J. Kempley said the suspects were John Pigman 17 of Clayworks Don Marsh 18 of Lehigh and Edmund Reinartson 17 of Fort Dodge. They admitted stealing two cars in Fort Dodge after escaping and abandoning them at Webster City. A further car was reported stolen at Chariton.

Escaped German Prisoner Recaptured in Ontario
North Bay Ontario August 5 Lieut Hans Peter Krug of the German air force was recaptured at the Canadian Pacific station after a second escape from a Canadian internment camp. Krug had previously escaped from Gravenhurst last Friday and had been pursued by Sgt George Divine of the provost corps. Max Stephan the Detroit restaurant proprietor aided him in the earlier escape and was involved in the case. Stephan was convicted of treason and sentenced to hang but commuted to life imprisonment by President Roosevelt.

Truck and Bus Crash Injures 22 at Betendorf Bridge
