Iowa Rail Rates Under Scrutiny by Clifford Thorne
Clifford Thorne of Washington Iowa attacks a rival claim on Iowa railroad rates as misleading. He cites Iowa and interstate reports to argue that Iowa rates are higher than national averages and that freight and passenger charges have seen no real reductions in seventeen years. He urges voters to demand lower rates and accuses opponents of siding with railroads.
