Fairfield Boys Edge Washington In Close 8 to 9 Final

Democratic Convention Attended in Smouse's Hall

The Democratic county convention met in Smouse's Hall with George M. Groen dycke as temporary chairman and C. EK. Latechem as secretary. A full afternoon session confirmed officers and named a committee to select delegates to the state convention. The central committee later elected J. J. Kellogg secretary. Keokuk to hear federal court for Ollie Davison case

A deputy U.S. marshal aided Sheriff Teeter in arresting Ollie Davison for selling liquor after being excused from justice court for good behavior. Davison will be taken to Keokuk to appear at the next federal court meeting. Also notes: Iowa Central depot fire and theft details with no clues. Henry Eicher heads to Clear Lake for a brief vacation.
