Washington officials warn hay fever will be more severe this season due to a dry summer and airborne pollen. Dr Pierce notes pollen from roses, ragweed, and other flowers causes outbreaks while rain can reduce danger. Polyvalent immunization injections may help but must target the specific pollen type triggering symptoms. President Coolidge is cited as a notable past sufferer.
