Crippen Arrested Aboard Montrose Near Father Point
Dr. H H Crippen was arrested at nine oclock Sunday morning on the steamship Montrose two miles from Father Point by Provincial Detective McCarthy and Denis with Scotland Yard inspector Dew. The escapee was taken to the captain's cabin amid a tense scene as the ship prepared to sail to Quebec.

Shelbyville Indiana August 1 Daniel Eck a farmer living north of St Paul was pitching hay when heart trouble struck. He collapsed and fell from a wagon breaking his neck dying before a doctor arrived. Eck owned a small farm and rented another. He was 45. The widow survives.
