William R. Kane a 26 year old manager of the Blackhawk hotel and active in the state hotel managers association slashed his throat with a razor in his Davenport suite today and died shortly after. He suffered a nervous breakdown two years ago and after a recovery returned to work. Despondency over his health caused his act and his widow survives him.
