Washington April 28 President Coolidge issued a categorical denial saying he is trying to deliver Muscle Shoals to Ford or anyone else but does not want Ford's favor bought. The statement followed a telegram quoted at the Senate Muscle Shoals hearing and weeks said Ford was angry over the Gorge power plant sale. The hearing also touched on the Blocker White Atterbury proposal and Weeks offered to discuss further with engineers chiefs.

Body of Drowned Vinton Lawyer Found in Cedar River
The body of Arthur V. White a prominent Vinton lawyer who drowned in the Cedar River four weeks ago was recovered six miles above Vinton and four miles south of the original accident site. His partner J. Kirkland identified the remains which were badly decomposed.

Bandits Pillage New York Jewelry Plant for $160000
Three masked men bound and gagged Charles Kreaney and a plant chairwoman, Josephine Seifrano, at a jewelry manufacturing plant in New York.
