Vienna reports a harrowing dispatch from Saloniki describing Turkish dragoons burning towns in Albania. In Godaunty 600 people mostly women and children were slain as defenders resisted bombardment and fires spread through the city. The war wages across northern Albania with heavy fighting and many casualties.
Constantinople reports five thousand on each side have fallen over three days of fighting between Turkish troops and Albanian rebels on the Kossova plains. Rebels captured several guns. Turkish forces stormed Kachanik pass and were repelled with heavy losses. Concerns rise for Pristina and Prisrend. rail link to Uscub is cut. London dispatch notes 500 Albanians, many women and children, killed at Godauntz by artillery.
Willie Lawler, 12, fell through a plate glass window at Pfander news agency in Battle Creek Michigan. A four inch splinter pierced his thigh and severed an artery. His father Patrolman Simeon Lawler rushed him to a hospital as his family hoped for recovery.

Connersville Indiana April 28 Jesse Clouds a well known farmer shot himself at his home about six miles south of the city. The tragedy was reported as a death by his own action. Authorities are investigating the case.
Observations at Lowell Observatory report the finest photographs from April 18 showing Halley's comet tail about nine degrees long or 22,000,000 miles. The tail now diverges into two branches with day to day changes in divergence point and streamer count. The tail, directed away from the sun, appears foreshortened from Earth.
