County Board Accepts Low Bids For County Fuel Supply
The Board of Supervisors met with all members present and accepted the lowest bids for county fuel from May 1, 1963 to May 1, 1964. Standard Oil Co. won the regular gasoline bid and Farm Service Co. won the premium and diesel bids, with contracts to be signed by the chairman. Adjourned subject to call. Westchester April 23.

Two-Year-Old Mike Coon Breaks Arm in Farm Yard Fall
In ROUND GROVE on April 25 little Mike Coon, son of Mr and Mrs Jim Coon, slipped from a farm implement tongue and broke his elbow. He received X rays at Washington before Mercy Hospital Iowa City set the bone and he returned home. The report notes other local children ill with measles and a tonislectomy at the County Hospital in Washington.

Study Group Meets With Mrs. Stewart
The W S C S Study Group of the Methodist Church met with Mrs Edgar Stewart in Washington on Wednesday afternoon with twelve members and a guest present. Mrs Walter Bauer led the business and devotional segments, and the group discussed the study book Who Cares. A May meeting will be hosted by Mrs Ida Lindenmeyer. Refreshments featured a spring motif table. Also noted, seventeen Pythian Sisters met with Altruistic gifts totaling 100.10 and two sick calls. The Mother-daughter breakfast is planned for June 14 at 9 AM.
