Boy Nearly Killed in Gasoline Can Explosion

Boys Prank Proves Fatal For Kansas City Lawyer

Francis M. Harrison a 52 year old attorney was killed by electric current while trying to remove a wire that boys wrapped around a tree in his front yard. The wire had been connected to an electric light cable and the men failed to cut before contact.

South Rogers wiped out by fire in Michigan village

In Alpena County the village of South Rogers on the Detroit and Mackinaw road thirty miles north of Alpena was destroyed by fire. The hotel livery barn three stores cigar factory three houses barns and other buildings burned leaving only the depot and station. The loss was complete with no insurance.
